Brief Introduction:
Among the many positive consequences that the 2020 pandemic brought into my life, one was the love for reading. The art of immersing yourself in a space where it is possible to escape reality, learn new techniques, become cultured, laugh, cry, and most importantly, share this information with the people you cherish the most. Every book has its lessons, from Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls to Patagonia's business plan in Let My People Go Surfing. At the same time, our capacity to retain information is very limited, which means that in a few months, that book you couldn't stop thinking about might not cross your mind in your day-to-day life. However, often people, actions, events, or simply external thoughts create a connection in your mind to something you have read, which can help you better understand the situation, from a fact like Epictetus's discourse in How to Be a Stoic to the 20/20/20 formula in The 5 AM Club.
That said, the idea for this digital library came to me as a potential solution. A document you can return to whenever you want and find a preliminary base of the best quotes, ideas, or simply sayings that these books have left an impression on me. Initially, I wanted to create this document by hand, as I consider myself a romantic who partly rejects technology, especially when it comes to books. But in this case, being honest with myself, it is much more useful to have it online since I have access to it anytime, anywhere, without having to carry a notebook that would only grow week after week.
So here begins an adventure, a dialogue, a start of sharing these thousands of pages with different combinations of letters that have shaped the person I am today and will continue to change who I am, to become a better person and leave my mark on this incredible experience we call life. I hope you enjoy it.
